Times of the Signs?

So many who are watching, praying and longing for Jesus future shout of "Come up here" are looking at signs around us that are jumping out from scripture, so much so that this could be considered as some have said "the time of the signs." Some are obvious, some are sketchy or far fetched and stretched.
As for me, I just want to cut to the chase.
Ok, well I’m all about keeping it real, keeping it simple. Number one: Jesus told us that when the fig tree (Israel) blossomed in the desert that THAT generation would not pass away! Before 1948 there was a time that Israel ceased to exist as a nation...up until that time I can understand how there were those who believed that the church had “replaced” Israel. But once the rebirth of modern Israel took place in 1948, I have got to believe that anyone who had a Bible and studied it would have considered that a monumental wake- up call:
“Oh snap, Israel’s a nation again!!” Holy Moly! Jesus said that would happen and that it would be a major signal that the end of the age (Church Age) was at hand and that “the time of the gentiles” was being fulfilled! Daniel had said of this same time in history, that things would change in a major way in relation to how people traveled and there would be a dramatic increase in knowledge.
For thousands of years travel was with horses, donkeys and camels but then, boom, in the same century of Israel’s rebirth we see the crazy changes in travel. You can literally ship packages around the world in three days and can talk instantly globally through text, tweet or chat. Knowledge increasing? Satellite TV’s in SUVS with GPS talking to you while you listen to a song just downloaded seconds ago via iTunes in the UK...need I say more?
The City Limit Sign!!
I live very near Branson Mo, a place many travel to as a vacation destination. When you get "close" to Branson, there are signs EVERYWHERE advertising your soon arrival. But most of the signs are advertising things on the fringe or about and around Branson and not Branson itself.
Blood Moons? RFID chips? Earthquakes and rumors of War? <
ISRAEL BEING PRESSURED TO DIVIDE THE PROMISED LAND FOR PEACE!!!

Now that is like the City Limit sign. I'm looking for a "city who's builder and maker is the Lord" Who promised "I go to prepare a place for you, and I will come and receive you unto Myself, that where I AM you may be also."

Jesus said in describing our arrival into that "time" it would be "as it was in the days of Noah" and "as it was in the days of Lot."
"They were eating, drinking and given in marriage" "And they knew not until the flood came and took them all the way."
Paul exhorted us saying:
"But you are NOT children of the dark that day should over take you."
I feel like a kid going on vacation seeing so many things happening before my eyes no doubt, but the thing that has me on the edge of my seat?
Is God's Word. "When you see ALL these things LOOK UP for redemption draws near."
John Kerry is failing at the moment of convincing Israel of the very thing that will usher in The Day of the Lord, but the urgent push from Rome and the Pope to go to Israel with a "CRY FOR PEACE," should have us all "watching, praying and sounding an alarm."
Romans 13: 11 This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. 13 Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. 14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Maranatha,

Dispatched with Truth but sharing A Lie From Hell?

A General sends a rider by horse with instructions to the front lines of battle. The instructions are of "life and death importance" to the soldiers and are specific and to the point. The rider dismounts from his horse and opens the letter given charge to his trust. In his reading, his heart begins to pound, "You have made a fatal mistake and you all are surrounded and your only hope is to surrender, but don't fear I have all ready assured your freedom via prisoner exchange, TRUST ME! Signed General Almighty God." Not wanting to deliver such a troubling message, the messenger decides to tell the assembled mass, "All is well just continue on, things are going to get better soon." The soldiers shouted and marched ahead, not knowing of the Truth, confronted by their desperate plight they refused to surrender and died that day.

All across this planet Almighty God has dispatched His message but their are those who've stood behind pulpits and disregarded His Truth, instead of telling their audience The Gospel that required surrender and a type of prisoner exchange, they've decided to lie and assure all is well and "this is your best life now" and marked themselves servants of hell.

But please hear me now, All is not well, and you are surrounded and your guilty as charged of crimes against Almighty God and you are about to be placed under arrest!! But great news, 2000 years ago, Almighty God had already secured your freedom, He would do it through a divine exchange, He would surrender His freedom and take upon Him your bondage and all your sin willingly taking your place. He was arrested as if He was you and charged accordingly, He was sentenced to die and die He did, but He is God and He is The Resurrection and He is Life and He couldn't stay dead, so 3 days later, He arose from the grave shouting to all the world, I am The Way!! And He who believes in Me shall live and never truly die. That is The Greatest News Ever!!!! Please Believe.

TC's Letter - Just Finished Reading

With a heavy heart TC mailed the letters he had written to his friends. How they would react was hard to guess, but he knew he had to tell them that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, the only way to heaven and the only way to be spared from the wrath to come.

A few days later, TC’s friend, Rex, was just about to look over the day’s collection of mail.  But first he popped the top on his ice-cold beer, took a drink and let out a big sigh. Stress from the long day was bearing down on him—so many of his buddies had been recently laid off. A haunting uncertainty was facing Rex. A job he had held for years was on the chopping block. He hit the remote to turn on the TV…“Wall Street fell another five percent today…fears rise worldwide as jobless claims are staggering upward.” Rex flipped through all the networks and finally hit the mute button as he began to look through his mail. “Hmm, a letter from TC?”

Rex tore open the envelope and began to read TC’s heartfelt cry. TC had been Rex’s golfing buddy for years and although Rex knew TC was “religious” they had never really talked that much about faith. As he poured through the letter, Rex sensed urgency in its tone. “Why would he take the time to send this?” he thought. A tear trickled down his face.

In closing, let me just say this again, “I love you all... if this hurts or offends you… I’m sorry… BUT I’d rather hurt and offend you and have you hear this message and make sure you KNOW it, than to stay quiet for fear, and then some day stand before God and hear that you didn’t make it because I cared more for my own pride than I cared for you!”

Rex read through the letter several times and almost picked up his phone, but something stopped him. Instead, he felt led to read this one paragraph one more time: “Please, REPENT if you haven’t already and make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life…I beg you…because His wrath will soon be poured out.”

Upon closing the letter, something strange began to happen to Rex. His heart was pounding with intensity; he found himself gripped with fear. He knelt down by his couch and began praying, “Jesus, my name’s Rex, I’m TC’s friend.”

Pouring out his heart, broken and urgent, Rex cried, “Please Jesus, forgive me for living so much of my life without you. I beg you to take over and save me.”

Rex got up from where he prayed. The anxiety that had been so heavy upon his life just minutes ago was now replaced with a peace that Rex had never known before. Looking down at the letter he held in his hand, Rex smiled with joy. He had to call his friend, TC, to share the great news. Just as he was about to pick-up his cell phone, a loud shout came from on high, “COME UP HERE!”

Then the news broke…“10:00 p.m. central standard time, millions have disappeared.”

Rex was gone. He had been made READY. But some of TC’s other friends didn’t take the letter so well, and they were not yet aware of the news blasts.

His friend Ricky had just finished reading the letter. He picked-up his cell phone and punched in some numbers.

His buddy Kyle answered, “Hey what’s up? I’m just sitting here reading a letter from our Jesus fanatic friend, TC.

Ricky responded with a laugh, “Yeah, I got one too. Can you believe that guy?” Kyle replied. “Who the heck does he think he is? I can’t believe he would even admit that he believes such nonsense. Besides, I think he’s forgotten who he’s talking to,” replied Ricky.

“No kidding, doesn’t he remember he was just like us? I mean he drank as much beer as anyone back in the day. He has no business preaching to me.”

“You know what I think we should do?” Kyle asked.

“What’s that?” replied Ricky.

“Take his sorry butt out for a night and get him wasted,” Kyle laughed

 No doubt,” Ricky jeered.

“Yeah, this Saturday. After we get done golfing let’s swing by his house. Let’s take him to Hottie’s Sports Bar…but he probably won’t go for it,” Kyle groaned.

Ricky replied with a smirk in his voice, “Oh, he will, if we tell him we read his letter and want to hear more.”

Kyle laughed, “I love the way you think. You are the man!”

Ricky replied, “Okay dude, got to go, I have to work overtime tomorrow. I’m so pumped. Now I’ve got something to look forward to. I can’t wait to put that TC in his place.”

Kyle replied, “Yeah, me either…catch you later.”

Ricky hung-up the phone and walked to the fridge. Grabbing a beer and guzzling it down, he began chuckling to himself as he thought of the underhanded plan he and his friend had concocted.

Rick turned on the TV and these words could be heard: “This just in…breaking news reports are coming in from everywhere of missing people.” Startled, Ricky dropped his beer, his heart racing as panic began to overtake him.

Across town, Kyle had closed his cell phone and hopped into bed. With his Golf Digest and TV remote control in hand, he tossed TC’s letter into the trash and cussed his name, “You’ll get yours my friend. You’ll get yours.” He hit the power button on the remote.

“This just in…breaking news… reports are coming in from everywhere of missing people.”

Both Kyle and Ricky raced to their phones, but didn’t know who to call. They tried to call TC, but could only reach his voice mail.

“Hello, you have reached TC, sorry I can’t take your call, if I’m not here or there, then I’m in the air, but until then, leave a message and I’ll call you back.”

TC had been caught up to meet the Lord!

Ricky and Kyle were left behind. They were not ready. Left to face a time that the Word of God says unless God shortens the days, no flesh would survive.

Not because they mocked their friend TC, but because they had foolishly rejected Jesus.

Broken Things

God's ways truly are higher than our ways. I hate a broken phone, or a broken remote or a broken lawn mower but God thankfully loves broken things. My life has been one of much brokenness. Most of it self inflicted. I can understand what Paul meant when he said "in me no good thing dwells." So thankful for The Cross, so thankful for His Amazing Grace and Unfailing love. I use to think "Christianity" was about striving to be the best "Christian" but through brokenness, I came to realize life is all about living in a way that says "thank you" all the days of our lives to the One who died because of our brokenness and rose again to reassure us ..we will be made whole again.

Psalms 51:17  My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

TC's Warning

TC sat pondering at his desk in the quiet of his bedroom, having just finished spending time alone with God. Pen and paper in hand, he began writing…

Dear family and friends,

I am writing this letter because I love you and feel the need to share this critical message. Almost all of you know that I’ve had my share of shortcomings and many of you have been there to experience a lot of my personal ups and downs. So you have to know that this is not coming to you from any other angle other than straight from my heart. Life has been very different for me since I became a Christian.

First of all, I hope all of you know that I love Jesus Christ. He means everything to me. But in saying that, let me say I truly believe the only reason why the apostle Paul said he was the “chief of all sinners” was because TC hadn’t been born yet. Some of you would be very fair to say, “TC is a hypocrite!” and with that I totally understand. Again, I have fallen short many, many times and feel so unworthy to write this letter. But at the same time, I feel very compelled to reach out.

As many of you already know, I believe that these are the end-times we are living in. (If you’ve never heard me say that before it’s only because of my timidity, and hence this letter.) Many would scoff and say, “Where is the promise of His coming? It’s been said for 2000 years.” But in the Bible, Peter warned that those words and beliefs would be a sign that the Lord’s coming is very near. Peter said, “In the last days, scoffers would arise,” saying the very same thing.

You might also say, “No man knows the day or the hour,” but Jesus also said this: “How is it you can look to the sky and know a storm is coming but yet you can’t discern the signs of the times?”

True, no man knows the exact hour Jesus will call his church home, but Jesus Himself said we would or should know the season.

What are the signs to look for?

I’m all about keeping this real, keeping it simple. Number one: Jesus told us that when the fig tree (Israel) blossomed in the desert, THAT generation would not pass away. Before 1948 there was a time Israel ceased to exist as a nation. Up until that time I can understand how there were those who believed that the church had “replaced” Israel. But once the rebirth of modern Israel took place in 1948, I have to believe that anyone who had a Bible and studied it would have considered that a monumental wake-up call!

Jesus said Israel’s rebirth would happen and that it would be a major signal that the end of the age (Church Age) was at hand and that “the time of the gentiles” was being fulfilled. The prophet Daniel said (of this same time in history), that things would change in a major way in relation to how people traveled and there would be a dramatic increase in knowledge.

For thousands of years travel was with horses, donkeys and camels but then, boom—in the same century of Israel’s rebirth we see the crazy changes in travel. You can literally ship packages around the world in three days and can talk instantly globally through text, tweet or chat. Has knowledge increased? Satellite TV’s in SUVS with GPS talking to you while you listen to a song just downloaded seconds ago via iTunes from the UK...need I say more?

Okay, just a couple of other things that the Bible says to look for: A global depression, growing escalation of hatred toward Israel; trying to divide her land, wars and rumors of wars (war on terrorism, North Korea-South Korea, India-Pakistan, Israel-Hamas, Iran threatening to blow Israel off the map), days of rage, people running everywhere (to and fro), love waxing cold, earthquakes in diverse places, greed on a major scale, a world gone mad, and days like Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah.

The Bible says that at some point the whole world will cry out for a man to step on the scene and save them, a man who will later prove to be the prophesied Antichrist—a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This plea for help will start with two major issues: The economy and Israel. Right now, you all can testify that everyone is looking for answers, not just here in America but worldwide. People are saying to themselves, “Someone please bring relief.” I am sure you all have watched over the last few years the mounting violence in around the world. When has there ever been such a global cry for peace?

So what is the reason for my letter? Jesus said a time would come when He would shout, “Come up here!” And millions of His people would be caught up to meet Him in the air and taken to heaven. Can you imagine that? He said all those who are born-again believers will be changed from mortal to immortal bodies in the blink of an eye or in the “twinkling of an eye.” THAT FAST.

Please stop and think about that for a minute - the panic, the heartbreak - is unimaginable and indescribable, but please try and imagine. Not long after the moment Christ removes His church, a seven-year countdown will begin. Anyone still here on earth will be left to face a time called Jacob’s Trouble or the Tribulation period. It will be a time that could easily be called the Perfect Storm. All of Satan’s fury and God’s wrath will be unleashed upon those still here.

Those who survive will have been divided into two camps—those who have pledged allegiance to Jesus Christ (after the Rapture), and those who have aligned themselves with mankind and Satan himself. If you align yourself with Jesus, you will suffer martyrdom for your decision. If you choose mankind, you will suffer eternal damnation. Either way, you will die for your decision.

You might be thinking I’m being overly dramatic. I can’t even begin to be dramatic enough to warn you of what is soon to come. I wish I could.

Think back to Hurricane Katrina. Suppose I was the weatherman and I knew it was coming and the eye was for sure to hit the town you live in. But rather than offending you, or for the sake of being politically correct, I chose to keep the “warning” to myself, and because I did, you were blindsided by the storm and lost your life. What kind of person or weatherman would I be?

According to my faith, there is coming a storm upon this earth that will leave no person untouched by catastrophe. Your ONLY hope to escape is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by being born-again by the Spirit of God. If you will believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ has died and rose from the grave, you will be saved!

Please, if you are reading this letter, do just that—believe in Jesus and confess him!

Jesus said this: “If you will confess me before men, I will confess you to my Father. But if you deny me before men, I will deny you before my Father.”

In closing, please let me restate that I am no better than anyone. Not at all! But I CARE ABOUT YOU. Please hear this letter for what it is. I don’t want you to be caught in the most horrific storm this world has ever seen. A seven-year storm is coming, as sure as death and taxes. Please, REPENT if you haven’t already. Make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life. I am begging you! His wrath will soon be poured out.

Let me just say this again, I love you all. If this hurts or offends you, I’m sorry. I’d rather hurt and offend you and have you HEAR this message and make sure you KNOW it rather than to stay fearfully quiet. I wouldn’t want you to someday stand before God and have Him tell you that you didn’t make it because TC cared more about his own pride than he cared for you!”

TC closed his notepad and prayed, “Father, I have tried to do as I felt you leading me. I have written this letter of warning in your name. Please Lord, bless this letter and convict all my friends and family to hear its urgent message. For your glory and purpose in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
